Sex Toy Review: Screaming Two O Cock Ring

As we'd enjoyed the original Screaming O Cock Ring so much, we were rather looking forward to the Screaming Two O Cock Ring. Instead of just having the one vibrating bullet, this little baby has one at the top and one at the bottom, so dependent on how the guy wears it, it will stimulate different parts.

Worn over the scrotum, the cock ring will stimulate both the woman's clitoris and the guy's balls and perineum, with the added bonus of vibrating the guy's penis. Worn above the scrotum, it will give thrills to the clitoris and woman's vagina and perineum. So it depends on how your guy wants to wear it! Of course, if it's worn around the ball sack then it'll likely delay his climax which may be necessary when wearing this thing!

Sadly, the cock ring is single use - that is, you can use it more than once, but when the batteries are gone, they're gone. That's basically the only downside. The packaging isn't bad, it's functional and eye-catching and use of the cock ring is self-explanatory. It's probably a good idea to switch it on before putting it on too, as the switches are a little fiddly - NOT recommended when you've got lube covered fingers! The vibrations are powerful and it's fairly quiet... that is, it just sounds like a couple of bees in the room as opposed to a whole hive. You could get away with using it if someone was in the next room, I expect.

If you like cock rings, and in particular vibrating ones - go for this. It gets a thumbs up from both of us.

Sex Toy Review: Durex Play Very Cherry

There's not really an awful lot you can say about a lubricant, is there? But I'll have a go. Durex Play Very Cherry is a sugar-free, condom safe lube. As you'd expect from Durex, it's high quality, the packaging is really nice and it's got a pump lid, meaning no spillages if you knock it over or merely forget about it in the heat of the moment.

It tastes absolutely gorgeous, if you like cherries that is. The closest taste I can think of is the cherry sweets in Haribo Tangfastics, which happen to be my favourites! So this stuff is perfect for oral sex, or swirling over your partner's body and licking off... just use your imagination, the possibilities are endless! It's fabulous as a lubricant too, for handjobs or female masturbation. It lasts ages and doesn't stain so as well as looking great and tasting great, it's good value for money too! It's widely available, but if you're looking for a bargain, check out LoveHoney, who are currently selling it at £3.99. (Price correct at time of writing.)

Sex Toy Review: Screaming O Silicone Bullet Buddy Vibrator

I like the Screaming O range. It has a great variety of products and the prices aren't too high, so I was pleased when I was sent some stuff to review.

The Screaming O Silicone Bullet Buddy Vibrator is a cute looking thing which packs a punch! I received the bullet with the monkey sleeve, but the other ones available are bunny, dolphin, bear and worm. Also, when you order, LoveHoney aren't able to guarantee which one you'll receive as they're chosen at random. However, I don't think it really matters as you won't see much of it when it's being used for its proper purpose!

The toy is basically a bullet with a cute sleeve, which is removable. The batteries last around 80 minutes and are replaceable. The button is at the bottom, as with most bullets. It's a nice sturdy button which is impossible to get switched on by mistake if you've thrown it into your handbag or overnight bag. Therefore, this is the perfect toy for home or away. Only those in the know would realise what it was too.

The vibrations aren't hugely powerful, but still a lovely sensation, either for masturbation or for additional stimulation during intercourse. It's also fully submersible so great for bathtime fun!

Overall a lovely versatile toy which isn't too pricey. If you don't already have a bullet, you could do much worse than adding this to your collection. Though if you have one already, it's not different enough to warrant the additional purchase.

Sex Toy Review: Durex Play Ultra

I've had my eye on the new Durex range for quite a while. Given they do condoms so well, I figured they'd be good at sex toys too. And as cock rings go, this isn't bad. The Durex Play Ultra isn't what you'd call a 'normal' cock ring; that is, it doesn't form a solid ring around the penis. If you can see from the photo, it kind of 'hooks' around the penis.

It's quite strange to look at, the vibrating part looks like a miniature penis and it took us a while to work out which way round it went on! There's a little booklet inside the box with full instructions, and you've basically got the choice whether you want it to stimulate the woman's clitoris or perineum. Unlike most cock rings, this doesn't do a great deal for the fella in terms of making his climax more powerful. Obviously he'll enjoy the vibrations but because it's not fully surrounding the shaft, it probably won't delay or intensify his orgasm. Basically, this toy is mainly about the woman. The battery pack included lasts for 20 minutes, and there's a spare one included. However, you'd better hope it doesn't run out mid-shag because it's so fiddly to get the battery changed that you'll both be fed up by the time you've got a new one in!

It does give the product extra value for money, though. You'd be a bit annoyed about spending just over a tenner on something you can use for 20 minutes. Even at 40 minutes it's still pricey, but still good fun.

Overall, not a bad little toy. The vibrations won't blow you away, but for women that find it easy to climax, it's a great way to spend your money.

Product Review: Intimate Organics Sensual Cocoa Bean & Goji Berry Massage Oil

I was impressed with the first product from the Intimate Organics range that I tried. This one has followed suit! The Intimate Organics Sensual Cocoa Bean & Goji Berry Massage Oil is divine. It smells gorgeous, like you should be putting it on ice cream and munching it - however, ingestion is not recommended, it's not supposed to be edible!

Anyway, as a massage oil, it certainly does its job. It glides on smoothly and doesn't leave any unpleasant residue, and a little bit goes a long way! It looks good, smells good and feels good - and there's not really much else to say! It is a little bit pricey, but because you don't need to use much at once, it should last you a long time and still be good value for money.

Product Review: Intimate Organics Energizing Fresh Orange & Wild Ginger Foot Foreplay Lotion

I was a little unsure as to why this stuff was so special when it arrived to review. It just looked like any old foot lotion to me. That's until I used it. Wow. An odd thing to say about something that doesn't vibrate, I appreciate, but this stuff is GORGEOUS!

Intimate Organics Energizing Fresh Orange & Wild Ginger Foot Foreplay Lotion, as well as having the longest product name in the world, is organic. The clue's in the name, really. But that basically means that anyone should be able to use it, even if they have sensitive skin or are vegans. And trust me, when you smell it, you will be dying to use it. It smells so lovely I wanted to eat it. Often this type of thing smells nice in a perfume kind of way, but this stuff really smells of what it contains - yummy!!

The idea is, rather than putting it on yourself (although I wouldn't blame you, pop it on like you would normal foot lotion and you'll be whiffing lovely all day!), persuade your other half to give you a foot massage. You'll get the bonus of a foot massage and the lotion makes your feet smell and feel so nice that they'll want to continue playing with them. So if you like having your feet played with - this is for you! It's not cheap, but a little bit goes a long way and especially if you have small feet like me!

I loved this stuff and will definitely be buying more when my sample runs out! Yum!

5. Are you ever going to do some proper writing?

Now this one IS offensive. I personally don’t see why erotica is looked down upon by people. Even if they do not approve of the subject matter, which is their prerogative, it doesn’t give them the right to dismiss the genre as not being ‘real’ writing.

I, for one, am not a huge fan of science fiction. But that doesn’t mean I think it’s a ‘crap’ genre, or somehow beneath others. It just means that it’s not to my personal taste.

Erotica writers don’t “have it easy.” We face the same challenges that those specialising in other genres do. There are various reasons why writers choose to produce work in certain genres, and some even writer across a variety of genres. It certainly isn’t because we’re less talented writers! Far from it, in fact. Many of my favourite books are erotic ones, and I read them because I genuinely want to, not just because it’s my “thing.”

My personal reason for writing erotica is that I’ve found it much easier to get my work in front of an appreciative audience. For me, writing is most enjoyable when you know people are reading and liking your work. And it would appear that they’re liking my smutty stories. Therefore, I’m going to carry on writing them, regardless of whether narrow-minded people think they’re “proper” or not.

So there you have it. Five impossibly annoying questions, complete with answers. I’d love to hear what you think of them, whether you’re a reader, writer, or both – regardless of genre!
